
TBT-S Training
TBT-S offers a comprehensive training system designed to enhance the skills of participants across various levels. There are four training levels. See below for details.
Continuous Professional Development
TBT-S also offers ongoing workshops, group and individual consultation to support ongoing learning.
This ensures that practitioners stay updated with the latest advancements in TBT-S techniques.
This structured approach enables TBT-S to cater to the diverse needs of practitioners, fostering an innovative learning environment that encourages growth and excellence across all levels.

Level 1: Introduction

One-day face-to-face or online TBT-S training, or
7 hours minimum of virtual video TBT-S trainings*, accessible to view any time,

Description:
Virtual: 15 video courses totalling 9 1/2 hours.
Both face-to-face and virtual trainings provide handouts.
Professionals and support persons are eligible.
A "Confirmation of Completion" is provided when Level 1 requirements are met.

It is recommended clinicians have completed training in an evidence base eating disorder treatment and have some experience working with people experiencing eating disorders.
Support persons (those who support someone with an eating disorder) are welcomed to attend the Level 1 training and are not required to have completed any previous training.

Level 2: Application

3-day face-to-face training for professionals (not support persons).
It focuses on application and practice of TBT-S clinical tools and experiential interventions.
Clinicians are coached on how, when, why and where the TBT-S tools could be applied to augment ongoing therapies.
The Institute expects providers to have their own state/province graduate education, and if practicing, liability insurance,
A " Confirmation of Completion will be provided at the end of the training.
There are two versions of Level 2:
1.Child/adolescent addressing adolescent development and how TBT-S builds upon family therapy.
2.Adult TBT-S Training(18 yrs. and above). This includes tools for Severe-and-Enduring Anorexia Nervosa.

Successful completion of Level 1

Level 3: integration

4 two-hour sessions of small group discussion on how TBT-S is being integrated into their practices (8 hours total).
Live virtual sessions from 4-8 professionals.
Professional clinical, medical, dietary and other trained mental health workers, or university faculty, are eligible for Level 3.
Supports are not eligible for TBT-S Level 3.
State and province board and legal requirements require having liability insurance, or one's clinical program or educational site covers liability.
A "Confirmation of Completion" will be provided.

Level 4: supervision

Individuals are have live supervision.
Two types of supervision: child/adolescents and/or adults.
It integrates TBT-S clinical and client tools into daily treatment while augmenting ongoing therapies.
Minimum of 70 hours.
Required for clinicians who want to be certified as a TBT-S Treatment provider.

As the very first TBT-S trainer in Australasia, Jasmin has played a crucial role in the effective implementation of TBT-S programs across a diverse range of private and public settings. Her unwavering commitment to bringing the latest evidence-based treatments to Australia, while simultaneously fostering the continual growth and professional development of practitioners, continues to be the driving force behind her impactful work.
As the principal investigator for Australia’s groundbreaking first research study on TBT-S, Jasmin aims to significantly strengthen the research base and knowledge surrounding eating disorders here in Australia.
Are you a support person?
TBT-S Australia & New Zealand offers Level 1 training for supports. This training can be offered alongside clinicians or for a group of supports. Please get in touch if you are interested in hearing more.
